To use Facebook Custom Audiences to retarget previous website visitors and customers, follow these steps:

  1. Go to your Facebook Ads Manager and select the "Audiences" tab.

  2. Click on the "Create" button and choose "Custom Audience" from the drop-down menu.

  3. Select "Website Traffic" as the source of your audience.

  4. Follow the prompts to install the Facebook pixel on your website. This allows Facebook to track the traffic on your website and collect data on your visitors.

  5. Once the pixel is installed, you can create a new custom audience by selecting "All Website Visitors" or you can create a more specific audience by selecting "People Who Visited Specific Web Pages" or "People Who Visited but Did Not Convert".

  6. Once you have created your custom audience, you can use it to create targeted ads that will be shown to these users as they browse Facebook.

  7. To create a targeted ad, go to the "Ads Manager" and click on the "Create" button. Select "Ad Set" from the drop-down menu and choose your custom audience under the "Audience" tab.

  8. From here, you can create your ad content and set your targeting and budget options.

  9. Once your ad is created, it will be shown to your custom audience as they browse Facebook, allowing you to effectively retarget previous website visitors and customers.
